מאי טעמא אמר קרא (שמות כא, לד) והמת יהיה לו במי שהמת שלו יצא זה שאין המת שלו

Raba said: If an ox along with a man pushes [certain things] into a pit, on account of Depreciation<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Cf. supra 26a. ');">¹²</span> they would all [three]<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' I.e. the man, the owner of the pit and the owner of the ox. ');">¹³</span>
